The Finnish sauna is a “bath” of very hot, dry air taken in an enclosed environment equipped with a stove that heats and dehumidifies the atmosphere. The general relaxation that can be derived from a finnish sauna is extraordinary, producing positive effects on both mind and body. It purifies the skin because perspiration eliminates acids and toxins, with a consequent improvement in the metabolism. A sauna also helps to stabilize blood pressure and protect against the onset of respiratory disorders. What’s more, there are beauty benefits too: the body tissues acquire increased elasticity, helping to prevent cellulite.
The stove installed in the steam sauna shower maintains a high and steady temperature, reducing the level of humidity in the air. This induces increased perspiration, which quickly evaporates in the dry heat: a true form of natural thermo-regulation. A proper steam sauna shower session will include at least two hot spells, lasting between 8 and 15 minutes each, with intermediate pauses spent in a cool environment, followed by sharp, stimulating plunges or showers in cold water to temper the body. The steam sauna shower combination is the optimum solution offered by Teuco.
Great care has gone into the selection of the various materials used in the Teuco Finnish steam sauna shower, to cater for different needs and performances: acrylic for the exterior, to be co-ordinated with the rest of the Teuco designed showers and baths; natural fir wood for the cladding and interior accessories. Curved glass for the generously proportioned transparent walls, which lend an even more pleasing and rich appearance to the product.
The movable seat of the rectangular version of the steam sauna shower has an adjustable backrest, which maximizes the functional attributes of the interior to increase comfort and relaxation. The exterior wall of the steam sauna shower, which has shelves for accessories and towels in both versions, adds comfort of use to the sauna and completes the furnishing of the bathroom.
